If you are between the ages of 18 and 21 and you are stopped by a law enforcement officer when you have alcohol in your system, you may be charged with underage drinking and driving. In the case your are charged with underage drinking and driving, your license may be suspended for two years, and you may be required to install an ignition interlock device in your car. If you are under the age of 18 and you are charged with DUI, your case may be heard in juvenile court and you may be forced to attend detention. If found guilty of DUI, your license may be suspended until you turn 21 years old.
